Full-stack engineering with product sense

Interfaces that make the complex feel simple.

I build web products end to end — React and TypeScript on the front, Node.js APIs behind them — for global brands and growing startups.

Profile

Frontend depth, full-stack range.

I'm Gabriel, a full-stack engineer based in Florianópolis, with 10+ years across software houses, fintech, SaaS and global consultancy. Most of that time was spent in React and TypeScript, delivering for clients like IBM, Pfizer, Audi, AKQA and BCW.

The backend is part of my routine, not a footnote: I've built a B2B SaaS API from scratch in Node.js, worked with authentication, authorization, PostgreSQL and Docker, and designed BFF layers around what interfaces actually consume.

Right now I'm deepening AI integration — agents, LLM-powered features and AI-assisted engineering workflows — through an MBA in Software Engineering with AI and hands-on projects.

  • Own the feature end-to-end — from design handoff to the API and production metrics.
  • Interfaces built for the real world — including loading, error and empty states.
  • Verifiable quality: automated tests and code review as part of the flow, not an extra step.
  • Direct communication with product and design — aligning before building avoids rework after.
  • Deliver fast without compromising quality — readable, documented code, ready for the next person to build on.

Journey

A decade of getting closer to the user.

The stacks changed, the direction didn't: toward the decisions that make software feel right for the people using it.

  1. 2015

    Supero Tecnologia

Learned versatility in a software house

Custom solutions for clients like Philips Clinical Informatics and Engie Brasil, moving between AngularJS, Java and JavaScript — building the adaptability that fast-paced client work demands.

  2. 2018

    Par Mais

Became a product stakeholder in fintech

Maintained and evolved a production financial platform (React + Node.js) for investment advisory clients — and earned a seat in business rules and UX discussions, bridging engineering and product.

  3. 2019

    Involves

Built a B2B SaaS from zero

Developed the API (Node.js), web app (React) and mobile app (React Native) of a new product simultaneously, inside an engineering culture centered on code review and continuous feedback.

  4. 2020

    ArcTouch

Scaled to global clients — and to Tech Lead

Delivered 10+ web applications in React and TypeScript for IBM, Pfizer, Audi, AKQA and BCW, from greenfield MVPs to long-running platforms. Served as Tech Lead on a key engagement and contributed to Node.js APIs and BFF layers.

  5. 2025–26

    Doubling down on AI-integrated engineering

Building with React, TypeScript, Node.js and AI agents while pursuing an MBA in Software Engineering with AI — bringing LLM integration patterns into everyday product work.

Selected work

Products I've helped ship.

Most client work lives under NDA — here it's described at the level I can share, with the role and stack intact.

Stack

What I solve, not just what I use.

More than a list of technologies: the areas where I take responsibility inside a product — from interface to API.

Component architecture

Design systems, composition patterns and accessible components that stay consistent across teams, brands and years of product evolution.

APIs & backend

Node.js services: REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication and authorization, PostgreSQL, Docker — and BFF layers shaped by what the product needs.

State & data flow

Server state, caching, forms and predictable data contracts over REST and GraphQL — so the UI always knows what to render, even when things fail.

Performance & Web Vitals

Budgets for LCP, INP and CLS, code-splitting, image strategy and measuring before and after — speed treated as a feature, not an afterthought.

Design-to-code & motion

Faithful implementation from design handoff, Tailwind-based systems, and animation with GSAP and Motion applied with restraint and intent.

AI integration

LLM-powered features, AI agents and retrieval pipelines wired into product UIs — plus AI-assisted workflows that shorten development cycles.

Proof

The numbers behind the work.

Quick context for the details: the volume and kind of delivery behind everything else on this site.

0+

Years inside product teams

From software house to global consultancy — the same fundamentals carried across every context: clear contracts, honest estimates, shipped work.

0+

Applications delivered

Greenfield MVPs to long-running platforms in React and TypeScript, each one taken from requirement to production.

0

Global brands served

IBM, Pfizer, Audi, AKQA, BCW and Philips — enterprise expectations for quality, accessibility and process.

0

Stack layers in production

UI, API and AI — day-to-day work across React interfaces and the Node.js services behind them, now expanding into LLM integration.

Working style

The habits behind the delivery.

Practical principles I bring to every product team.

End-to-end ownership

I work with an owner's mindset: I get involved in the problem beyond the code and commit to the impact of what ships — following metrics and feedback after launch, not just until the merge.

Value delivered, backed by metrics

Continuous learning

Every project expands the repertoire. Studying and adapting is a life philosophy for me — knowledge that turns into real work.

Dedication that ships

Alignment as a habit

I turn vague requirements into explicit contracts, surface trade-offs early, and keep product, design and engineering moving in the same direction.

Fewer surprises, better-informed decisions
